Brew to Brew

The Brew to Brew is a race from the Boulevard Brewery in Kansas City to Free State Brewery in Lawrence, KS. Teams of up to 10 individuals run 10 different legs. When we ran this in April of 2011 it was HOT and windy. I had the privilege

of running the last leg, which was pretty flat (since most of it was along the levy) and the wind just seemed to take my breath right out of my mouth. When I finally got to the end, my long anticipated Pepsi.....no where to be found. Most of my team was eating. Did finally get my Pepsi (others got their PBR) and food. Made for one very long day of waiting and then running. The picture is where my leg of the race started. Thankfully the train came while I was waiting for my teammate so he wasn't on the other side waiting to hand off the baton! Looking forward to this years race.
